Check the server timeouts and also verify ping to mail server. Try recreating the email account in Outlook, or check this Microsoft Article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/813... There are may possibilities. |

Check with your ISP your Outlook settings (outgoing mail server; authentication required/not; ssl settings) are all configured correctly. |

Re: 0x800CCC0F error Outlook 2003
To resolve this problem, disable the antivirus e-mail protection utility, and then manually add the POP server name in the E-mail Accounts dialog box in Outlook. To manually add the POP server setting, follow these steps: Start Outlook. On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts. Click View or change existing e-mail accounts, and then click Next. In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, click Add. Click POP3, and then click Next. Type the correct information for your POP3 mail server, and then click Next. Click Finish.

| Re: 0x800CCC0F error Outlook 2003
Thank you all for your responses... I use a secure web site to gain access to email. A client port configuration netlet deploys when logging on. My pop3 and smtp (incoming /outgoing mail server) settings in outlook are "localhost" per my isp. My isp also offers a webmailserver (same email address) where I have no problem sending 5 mg and better. I use Panda AV which has been removed from pc. Also use Zonealarm which was uninstalled. And as mentioned earlier Mozilla Thunderbird also produces same error message. My isp feels it is not them and 3 days of trying different options. The same with Panda. I have tried all your suggestions... got any more?? Thanks |

I also had this problem but now the problem just disappeared. The first day or two after the problem appeared I talked to the server administrator at work and we changed the password but to no avail. A login screen showing username, password and domain popped up two weeks later from nowhere on my screen. I entered the new password and to my astonishment the e-mails started pouring in! I hope this says something to someone! |
