    HP software installation problem/IE 8

    Hello,

I Have HP c5580 printer along with that I have received the software to install with the system but i am not able to install...keep getting errors. I have checked with the HP websites, then I realized that it's because I recently downloaded internet explorer 8. Their site information suggesting to go back to 7, but how can I do that? Microsoft only offers 8 now. The HP tech said that there are some fixxes out there, but I need to find them. Does anyone know of a fix for this problem or how I can go back to explorer 7?
    Thanks for any help!!

Microsoft is also offering IE8 now, it's still in Beta and not due the full version until at least next month. You can download the IE7 from the following link if needed:
    http://www.soft32.com/download_997.html

but before to go to IE8 you have to remove IE7 and for that you should go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall IE8, this will then automatically revert to the previous version of 7.

    Hello...
thanks for your immeditate reply. If you go to the microsoft site and click on IE7, it automattically brings up IE8? Is there any way to get 7? Also, if I go to add/remove it doesn't even show IE on the list?

In Vista IE8 should be categorised as an update and not a program. Try this.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, go to Control Panel, and click on Uninstall Programs link or Programs and Features icon. Then on Tasks pane on the left, click on View installed updates link. Locate and select Windows Internet Explorer 8 in the list of installed updates, and then click on Uninstall button. Click on Yes when asked that are you sure want to uninstall the update.

    Hope this will help you.
