    How to troubleshoot Outlook Express Errors?

    An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'pophm.sympatico.ca', Server:
    'smtphm.sympatico.ca', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '500
    Unsupported command.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 500,
    Error Number: 0x800CCC62

    Moreover, I received following errors while reading Hotmail via outlook
    express:

    Protocol: HTTPMail
    Port 0
    secure(SSL) 0
    Code: 80044005

    Check with the Sympatico , help / support / online setup guides.

    Do you need Secure SSL? Normally that's a no , See all the similar messages in 24HSHD and from a Google search.

    Secure(SSL): No,
    Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
    In tasks shows X(Red Mark) for "Check for new messages on pophm.sympatico.ca" , Failed status and Local Area Network.
