It is not possible to remove Internet Explorer completely. However you can disable it by following the below steps:
Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components. Uncheck "Internet Explorer" and follow the respective prompts.
- In IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options.
- On Connections tab, click the LAN Settings button.
- Select "Use a Proxy Server For Your LAN" check box in the Proxy Server section.
- Enter "0.0.0.0" in the Address and "80" in the Port and click OK.
Go to Group Policy console by typing "gpedit.msc" at the command prompt. Now go to Local Computer Policy -> User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Internet Explorer Maintenance -> Connection. Right-click on "Proxy Settings" and click on "Properties". Select "Enabled Proxy Settings", type "0.0.0.0" under HTTP and then click OK. Close the Group Policy console.
