any ideas..BSNL Broadband cable modem auto connect...?

I'm having BSNL Broad band. Whenever
I switch on my system and my modem I've to manually connect
my modem and establish connection. I've allowed to "Obtain IP dynamically
". Now I want a way that my modem connects automatically,i.e I shouldn't have to click on connect
button to start the connection. Is there any way to do so?

I hope you are leaving the cable modem on all the time. If you are starting it at the same time as your computer, it may take a long time for it to coordinate with the servers, and a restart is bumping it to wake up. If always connected and you are connecting a computer that is already running or has been put in sleep or hibernate mode then the network card is asleep. You can right click on the network icon and select Diagnose and repair. This should do a complete reset on the card and find the modem. One thing to check is Start/Control Panel/Network and Sharing System. On the left select Manage Network Connections. Right click on your device and select Properties. At teh top will be the device listed with a button for configure. In the window that opens, select power tab and uncheck both boxes. Should solve any problems. If available, do an update on the device driver from the computer makers site, or the device makers web page.
