    I've a problem with explorer not starting

    Okay, I boot my pc, Explorer doesn't start and I get a document that does. So I just manually start explorer via ctrl+alt+del. When I went to my regedit to get it to start there, I go through all the progressions and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon isn't listed local machine. So..what's the next step.
