    Avg8 drives crazy

    hey

Am using AVG anti virus application on my lappie, and i guess my machine is out of malicious attack..thanks to AVG

but when i run the system scan on the laptop..it's makes me awkward since it tends to break all other currently running program, even i can't listen a song in windows media player properly..if the program needs less time i have no
concern, but you know system scan is a time consuming process,at least takes one hour to complete..so running AVG alone, drives me crazy

so here am asking is that do i have any other option to halt any other stuff on avg which runs simultaneously with avg system scan so i could release some memory for other programs... also it updates few times a day is this fine?

thanks for reading my story..help would be appreciated

hey friend are you crazy or what??
why you want to run the avg system complete scan every day, scan if you connect external memory devices, after scan it is always safe to open by clicking the right button and select the explore option rather than directly opening the folder
...do run the complete scan if you suspicious about some attack..yes it is normal it updates often in a single day

All right if you want to make some changes on your AVG anti virus
locate the Advanced Settings from tools and do what ever you want...
you can neglect Resident Shield, the email scanner,to make the scan more speedy, you can also change the settings for update if the update is a disturbance for you

what is exactly you physical memory size...if your machine is with less RAM
breaking programs while scanning it is not a bizarre thing..so if you need to enjoy with media player while scanning, spend some bucks and upgrade your RAM...
    best of luck for you....
