For free utilities go for the below suggested:
neooffice
openoffice
textedit-comes native

And for Paid one's,:
microsoftoffice-has trial version preinstalled on your computer
pages-also has trial version on your computer

Also, Microsoft Office is the best program in my opinion, and I think many others will agree with me.
