Ms office access issue

I am recently experiencing slower file access (Word/Excel) since a month or two.The problem is getting more and more an issue because it get slower each day.When opening a file in Word or Excel it takes so long time to load it.It's on an office network and most files I open are on a different computer though the same thing happens when trying to get to a file on this machine.

is it a network problem or ms office ?

please help

If word or excel files taking too much time to open,then check that MS outlook journal is not turned on.This logs all documents and can cause to open/close slow.

If you have mapped network drives that are not actually present this will occur.
Right click & disconnect any mapped drive that is not currently available, sometimes you will need to reboot after & MS Office will stop being so mischievous!
