Having unveiled the new interface of Skype 4 to Windows users last June, crew VOIP software presents the second beta, which will be available for download shortly.

Skype 4 Beta 1 embeds several new features both in the interface of ownership of the software. On the official blog of the company, Mike Bartlett, product manager of Skype for Windows, stated: "We have received various reactions to the beta 1 and in particular on the expansion of the window to Skype" to clarify that before was a request made by many users. However, Bartlett added that the firm is working on a solution - Compact Mode - to propose a smaller window: "We hope to unveil in late summer for the release of our second beta.

Overall, the customer interface has become more customizable with the ability to resize each component as the profile of contact or conversation window. The developers have reviewed the notification system that was becoming increasingly intrusive for users and the possibility of creating categories grouped conversations.
For the third beta software, Mike Bartlett announced that the team work, among other things, chat history. But it made no mention of a possible beta for users of Mac OS X.
