Yes indeed have this effect. And it was, and in earlier versions of Alcohol 120. But earlier to erase the effects of it was enough to remove the two *. sys files from a folder with the driver (C: \ Winnt \ system32 \ drivers), cause Device Manager, dial View \ Show hidden devices and the resulting list to remove references to these drivers, and references in the registry for these drivers have disappeared. But in the version 147.1005 with Uninstall these files are removed, a reference to the driver remained in the logs errors of their launch. I tried to remove them by hand - not available.
And I did on myself. When you install the next version of Alcohol, I chose the enhanced option: it lets you specify the names of the drivers - and asked the names of previous verision and everything! Trouble disappeared.
With the second IDE I have also occurred. Here I am, by experiments done so: to reassign a real CD letters away: R (read) and W (write) - I have them two. And only then install Alcohol. The problem disappeared.
Presumably, Alcohol-148 in general have put last among all devices for CD and also keep him another letter after the HDD. By the way from Nero ImageDrive I, too, before installing alcohol to reassign the letter N, and most alcohol after the installation has changed in the V - so that then if there is a desire to create another disk, there would be no problems.
Note that these bugs in the 147 version was not.
