    Problem uninstalling Incredimail

I have tried deleting this program through the control panel/add remove programs option and every time I get a message saying that I have to be a system administrator or power user to remove this program. The problem is I AM the only system administrator on my computer!!! It is very frustrating! I can remove any other program but not this one! Can anyone help with this???

You may end up skipping the 1st two, try the others:

    1. Click Start - Settings - Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs, select Incredimail, then click Remove to uninstall it(or click Start - Programs - Incredimail - Uninstall).

    2. Click Start - Programs - Windows Explorer, then look for an Incredimail folder in Program Files. If it is there, right-click it, then click Delete - Yes.

    3. Click Start - Find - Files And Folders, type in Incredimail, then delete any files that appear that pertain to it.

    4. Click Start - Run, type in REGEDIT, then click OK. Click the + in:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - Software

Under the Software sub-menu, look for an Incredimail folder. If it is there, right-click it, then click Delete - Yes.

    5. Reboot your computer.

The above steps should pretty much clean it out.

IncrediMail is very hard to uninstall. Even if you run a custom Uninstall and select every item to be removed, the folder Program Files\IncrediMail\bin remains, with the undeletable file imshext.dll in it. You can only delete this file and its parent folders by removing every reference to them in the Registry, booting your computer from a DOS boot disk, going to the Program Files\IncrediMail\bin folder, deleting the imshext.dll file and then removing the Program Files\IncrediMail folder.

Uninstalling Incredimail is a problem program for many users.
Here are some instructions that should work:

    UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
Open the Start menu, scroll to Programs and highlight IncrediMail.
Scroll across to the next menu and highlight Uninstall.
Click here, and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the program from your PC.

But there are users that have had problems using this procedure
    as you can read here:

    Before UNinstalling, do the following:

Go to START -> PROGRAMS -> OUTLOOK EXPRESS. After clicking on it, you will receive a message:
'Outlook Express' is not currently your default e-mail client. Do you want to make it the DEFAULT Email program - Click 'Yes'

    To UNinstall:
Right click on C: Drive and select EXPLORE. Open the 'Program Files' folder and scroll down to the 'Incredimail' folder. Double click this to open it and you will find an 'uninstall' file.

Hi, if you haven't fixed problem I can help.
I use Incredimail and have uninstalled and installed it a few times.
Go to add/remove programs window from settings and uninstall from there.
Then click on start, then programs, and be sure it is removed from that list.
Then click again on start, then find, and type in incredimail.
Every folder, file, etc will come up that is connected with Incredimail.
    delete it all.
Then, totally shut down computer, do not hit ctrl and delete, turn it totally off.
    Then turn it back on.

Go to start, find, and type in 'incredimail' again and see if any more stuff comes up, if it does, repeat as above (delete, totally turn off computer and turn back on and repeat this until you see nothing.
    Let me know!
