The famous software analysis and benchmarking PC that does more, Sandra (System Analyzer, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant), we returned in September in a new version dubbed in 2009. As every year, SiSoftware has therefore changed its software with bug fixes, better care and increased hardware compatibility, but also with new modules for analysis and benchmarking.
In addition to recognizing the latest processors, chipsets and graphics cards, Sandra 2009 is therefore proposing new modules that target this time particularly the 3D chip. This may underscore the presence of two bench dedicated GPGPU (General Purpose Graphics Processing Unit), a technology which, remember, can take advantage of the power of a graphics chip to perform tasks other than display or calculating 3D. In this area, Sandra 2009 introduced two major benchmarks: Graphics (GPGPU) Processing (power calculations gross) and Graphics (GPGPU) Bandwidth simply linked to the bandwidth delivered by the entire graphics subsystem.
In addition, Sandra 2009 also provides a benchmark that evaluates the performance of a chip in 3D graphics and video, the program: image manipulation, encoding and decoding video ... In this module called Video (GFX) Rendering, just plug in the module Video (GFX) Memory that evaluates the performance related to the memory bandwidth during these operations related to images and video.
Finally, the latest version of the software SiSoftware used to evaluate the performance of a machine in the field of data encryption. Thus, the benchmark Performance Cryptographic harnesses the power of processors to measure their speed to quantify or to define algorithms such as AES (AES128, AES256) and SHA (SHA and SHA2).
