Don't need this windows burning software

I need a solution for this cd writing problem with windows software.
I cannot complete the CD Writing Wizard. There was an error in the writing process. I simply want to disable the feature offered by windows. Is this possible?

Disable CD Burning
Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer Value Name: NoCDBurning Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value) Value Data: (0 = Allow CDR, 1 = Disable CDR) Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value, called 'NoCDBurning' and edit the value according to the settings above.

Some people have had problems with WinXp's built in burning software.
probably a good idea to disable it if you're never gonna use it.
i've never had a problem with it so i just leave it alone as i use it sometimes.
