Cannot change spellcheck language from French to English in OE

I have XP Pro 2007 and have never had a problem with OE spellcheck before. Now I can only spellcheck in French. Have tried the control panel route and it states my default is English. When I pull down spelling under the options menu it states the language is French with no other options in the drop-down. The only change made recently was a removal of Printmaster and install of Publisher.

Any suggestions?
