Drivers for Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop

I had bought Toshiba Satellite A100-S2311TD series laptop few months ago. The laptop came with Vista already installed in it. I was using it uptill now and have realized that Vista is eating up to many resources which makes the laptop somewhat sluggish in operation. I thought replacing Vista with XP would work fine. So I installed XP after removing Vista. It however gives no sound from then onwards and the ATI graphics do not work. Though they install properly, they fail to work. The also tried Graphics Controller ATI 200M with Everest, but nothing works.

I want to know if what drivers are needed for this graphics controller to work fine in XP.

Please provide some of the basic specifications of your Laptop. I feel downloading the latest drivers and installing them over the previous ones will solve the sound problem in XP. But the drivers to support, we require the laptop specs first.

You can install TOSHIBA MK8037GSX SATA drivers to install XP so that it runs properly with no sound problems. You can slip-stream these drivers into a new installation CD of XP through Nlite software. Or else you can put them in a floppy and while installation of XP, find these drivers through floppy drive (provided you have one). While installing XP, just press F6 and follow the instructions.

Download TOSHIBA MK8037GSX SATA drivers

Try this link. Select Portables in 'Choose Category', Satellite in 'Choose Family' and in 'Choose Model' select your model. Hit 'Show results'. You might find the required drivers there.

Might help you
