Display started pulsating giving an error message

I have Vista installed on my PC. All of a sudden I am unable to open any Zip files on my pc. My display has started pulsating rapidly. It stops after few minutes giving an error message as "The filename or extension is too long". This happens only with zip files but not with other because I can open other file without any problem. PLS help me?

Sometimes a restart can solve your problem. Restart fixes a lots of problems in most of the cases.

Hey Archibald, I know that but how can I solve the problem?

Fabian, I restarted a couple of times but it didn't solved my problem. I tried to restore and got it as normal but I doubt whether it is fixed permanently or not?
