    Synchronize primary & secondary DNS

We have a primary DNS server hosted at our main office server room and a
secondary server at the branch office. But lately it does not seem to
synchronize, because there is an old DNS host record which has been deleted
on the primary server but still exist on the secondary server. Despite making
several attempts to increment the SOA but the old record is still there. May
I know is there anyway I can remove it?

    Hello Wilson,

How are they connected, VPN or router? What kind of DNS, Active directory
integrated zones or primary and secondary DNS server? What OS do you use?
Please post an unedited ipconfig /all from both servers.

    Best regards

RE: Synchronize primary & secondary DNS

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already added the secondary ip in notify
Tab of the primary DNS server but it still failed to work. There is still two
DNS records in the secondary DNS server one of which is incorrect.

Some other details, we are hosting our own external DNS running of Windows
2003 server at site A and the secondary DNS server is hosted at site B. I
    have performed
scavenge stale resource record from the primary DNS but also could not
remove the wrong record on the secondary DNS server.

Is there any other way I could fix this issue?
