Print Queue's freezing only fix is to restart Print Spooler

I have a W2K3 Enterprise Print Server. It has about 120 printers on it. Most
are HP Printing Devices. As of recent we are having many of the HP printer
    queue's freeze.

The only way to gets jobs flowing thru them is to restart the Printer
Spooler Service then delete all the jobs then it starts working again. This
does not affect any of the other Printer's. We are having to do this about 3
times a week with different printer's.

Any suggestions on why we keep having to do this?

    1. Right-click each printer and do a Properties.
    2. On the Advanced tab, see what the print-processor is set to be.
HP's, and other printers, like to hi-jack the default Microsoft
processor and plug in their own junk (HPZPP*.exe). If it's anything
other than WinPrint, set it WinPrint and apply the changes. Do this
for either your busiest printer(s) or all printers.

You can also try unchecking the "Enable Advanced Printing Features"
    and see if it helps.

If that doesn't help, see below.

Assuming you have SP2 already installed: Try out some of the post-SP2
patches mentioned in these articles, especially KB934885, as it should
    fix your issue:
