I have a Windows 2003 cluster, with two nodes. When i move the cluster group to the secondary node , then I cant open Custer Administrator from the secondary node. This situation revert when i move the cluster group to the principal node, then i can use cluster administrator from the primary and secondary nodes. The problem became if i have to shutdown for mantenaice the principal node, i cant use cluster admin to monitor the secondary node. I hope someone could help, and sorry for my bad english. |

Have you installed Service Pack 2 to your cluster nodes? |

Do you have the "NoLMHash" policy set on these boxes? If so, you'll need to use a cluster service account password with more than 15 characters. See the following for more details: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/828861 |

I have the same scenario which mentioned by Fpgcorreo, the last thing we did installing service pack 2, here is the description of the problem, we have windows 2003 Cluster with two nodes, when I move the cluster group to the secondary node, then I can’t open cluster administrator from the secondary node with error id: 5 (00000005), and once I moved back the cluster group the Primary Node, then I can use the cluster administrator from the primary and secondary nodes. Any solution has solved the mentioned problem. Or Any patch to fix this problem. Last edited by ayman_5 : 01-10-2009 at 02:46 PM. |
