Windows 2008 cluster for SQL server 2005 cluster

I am looking for an article that assumes I know nothing about windows 2008
    clustering.

I need to get from it exactly what software is required to allow clustering
SQL server 2005 under windows 2008, what network topologies are required,
and at least a brief explanation of how it is set up so that I can figure
out if we should attempt it in house.

Can anyone point me to this?

    Thanks.

Google has THOUSANDS of hits, but all seem to start by being built on other
articles that are built on articles ad infinitum.

RE: Windows 2008 cluster for SQL server 2005 cluster

    Hi Roger,

To enable SQL clustering you basically need an enterprise or datacenter
version of Windows Server for each instance of SQL that you are running. With
Hyper-V Technology now alive and well, you may want to consider going with a
SQL appliance (using an embedded version of Windows Server and SQL) that runs
both instances of SQL server on the same powerful piece of hardware. You'll
get better pricing on the Windows licenses going embedded. I'm a Microsoft
embedded OEM and I can design a solution for you if you're interested in an
    embedded OS solution.
