Cannot assign static IP address on Windows 2003 std 64bit

Can anyone tell me why I can't statically assign an IP address to our
Exchange 2007 server? After the installation of Exchange 2007 I tried to
assign a static IP address but it won't stick. Is there a simple way of
doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what is the exchange server reverting back to? the original dhcp address?
or is it losing networking completely?

Well when I give it a static IP and hit Ok and go back into TCP/IP properties
it reverts back to DHCP but not necessarily the same IP. No lose in
connetivity. The only thing I can think of is that it may something to do
with the Broadcom application which allows for teaming. I may try to disable
the app and see what happens.

We had the same problem with all our DELL PE2950 WIn 2003 64-bit.
We solved the problem by installing the old driver.

Download from dell.com site this driver:
    Bcom_LAN_10_30_W2K364_A04.exe
