The Intel Alert Originator service terminated unexpectedly.

Hello,

I am having some challanges. I keep getting the following error. I looked
at the knowledge base and even done searches on google for this, but I can't
seem to find a solution. Has anyone seen this error before? or do you have
any suggestions?

Symantec's, Norton Anti-Virus Server uses the Windows service "Intel Alert Originator" (IAO.exe) for the Alert Management System (AMS). This system sends alerts via e-mail, computer broadcast, pager, etc...

In my situation, the logfile (IAOLOG.DAT) become corrupt. A quick fix that worked for me is to rename the corrupt logfile IAOLOG.DAT to IAOLOG.DAT_OLD. Then restart the service which should create a new
IAOLOG.DAT logfile.
