Date and Time control panel missing "Internet Time"

    Hello All,

I'm running a Win2003 server with the latest updates, configured as an
    Exchange / Domain server.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to get my Date and Time control
panel to show me the "Internet Time" tab.

I looked around in the Add/Remove Windows Components, but didn't find
anything that looked like it. My "Windows Time" service is running though.

I was wondering if anyone could please offer any advice?

    Thanks,
    Chris

Re: Date and Time control panel missing "Internet Time"

That tab is hidden on domain controllers plus any server/workstation that is
a domain member. The reason why is there is logic coded into Windows 2000
and newer that once joined to a domain, time should be acquired from the
    domain controller.

The domain controller that holds the PDC FSMO role needs to have its time
service configured to get time from an external source. This is done by
logging onto the DC that holds the PDC FSMO role and use the w32tm command
line tool. The command would look something like...

    w32tm /config /syncfromflags:MANUAL
    /manualpeerlist:fqdn_of_time_server_or_ip_address
    w32tm /config /update

At this point, check the event logs on the DC and you should within a few
minutes whether or not the DC is acquiring a good time stamp.
