Event IDs 4521 & 9999 repeatedly in event log

I have a W2K3 domain with 2 DCs running Server 2003 in native
mode(workstations are all XP). When I check the event log I get these two
events repeated every hour. Any advice greatfully accepted.

Source DNS Event ID: 4521
The description for Event ID ( 4521 ) in Source ( DNS ) cannot be found. The
local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL
files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the
/AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for
details. The following information is part of the event: 9002, .

immediately followed by:-

Source: DNS Event ID: 9999
The DNS server has encountered numerous run-time events. To determine the
initial cause of these run-time events, examine the DNS server event log
entries that preceded these run-time events. The data is the number of events
that have been suppressed in the last 60 minute interval.

RE: Event IDs 4521 & 9999 repeatedly in event log

Further to my first post, both servers have DNS installed and running and
both of them are showing these warnings/errors in the event log.

I googled around on this one and someone suggested creating a primary zone
called "." and making it registry only then switching it to AD. I tried that
but get a pop up message saying there has been a 'Server Error' when I change
to zone to being AD based but no entries in the event log.

I am considering switching both servers to Registry and saving the zone
files in \system32\dns and then uninstalling DNS from both servers,
reinstalling and starting again. I can't see what has caused this problem as
it was fine when these two servers were set up new in March this year.
