| Event ID: 10005 / Source: DCOM error
crazy trying to get rid of it. I have searched the MS help and support, technet, Google, etc. to no avail. This error gets logged every few hours. My IISADMIN service is and has been disabled. Would there be any need to have it enabled? Running W2k3 Standard OS. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Event Type: Error Event Source: DCOM Event Category: None Event ID: 10005 Date: 9/5/2007 Time: 12:09:15 AM User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Description: DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service IISADMIN with arguments "" in order to run the server: {A9E69610-B80D-11D0-B9B9-00A0C922E750} For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. -- Sherry, MCSE |

I run an Exchange server on my network, but Exchange is not directly installed on the DC. -- Sherry, MCSE "Meinolf Weber" wrote: > Hello Sherry, > > Do you have exchange also istalled on it? I found out that I do need to run IIS manager on my DC because I am running MS Exchange System Manager as a tool. But I can uninstall the WWW and SMTP service. I am going to do that and then see if my error stops. If it does not, I will be back to post again. -- Sherry, MCSE "net_admin" wrote: > What if you uninstall IIS? > > -- > NetAdmin <São Paulo, BR> > "Das ist nicht mein bier... arschloch." |
