The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is Unavailable

Hi All, I'm a trying to set up Exchange Server 2003, but every time my only
client machine tries to connect using Outlook XP it hangs and then displays
"The connection to the Microsoft Exchange Server is Unavailable". If I turn
off the Windows Firewall on the server it connects fine. So I'm figuring I
need to open some more ports on the firewall, but I don't no which ones to
    open. Here's the current list

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllhost.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntfrs.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\scshost.exe
    C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin\emsmta.exe
    File and Printer Sharing
    C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin\mad.exe
    Port 110 TCP
    Port 123 UDP
    Port 135 TCP
    Port 137 TCP
    Port 143 TCP
    Port 25 TCP
    Port 25 UDP
    Port 3268 TCP
    Port 3269 TCP
    Port 389 TCP
    Port 389 UDP
    Port 42424 TCP
    Port 464 TCP
    Port 464 UDP
    Port 53 TCP
    Port 53 UDP
    Port 636 TCP
    Port 67 UDP
    Port 80 TCP
    Port 8098 TCP
    Port 8099 TCP
    Port 88 TCP
    Port 88 UDP
    Remote Desktop
    C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin\srsmain.exe
    C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin\store.exe

    Many Thanks
    Neal

Hmmm - what's the reason you're using the Windows Firewall on your server?
Do you have a good firewall appliance between your network & the internet?
Don't rely on Windows for that.

So I'm figuring I need to open some more ports on the

You might have more luck posting in microsoft.public.exchange.admin. Mention
whether your Exchange server is a member server or DC.
