workstations losing connection with domain controller

I am having problems with 3 of my workstations right now. When the user locks
the system before they leave in the evening, the next morning, none of their
shared drives work. They are essentially losing their connectivity or their
login session with the domain controller. as soon as they logoff and log back
in again, they work fine. the 4th workstation doesnt have this problem. all
systems and user accounts are setup exactly the same, just with different
folder permissions...(clerical, financial, etc...). All accounts are set to
never expire a session. Does anyone have any suggestions? or at least tell me
what is causing this. thanks in advance.

Check the event log for errors. Try pinging the server; by name; by ip
    address, etc.

Thanks, all this checks out. The event log is not showing any errors for
these users. They can ping the dns name and the IP address fine. The server
is a domain controller and is running IIS 6.0, DNS and Wins.

"They are essentially losing their connectivity"

What happens when they try? What errors are generated?

    "all this checks out"

Are you checking at the time of the error?

Re: workstations losing connection with domain controller

OK, the workstation has an error that says "an error occured while
reconnecting I: to \\servername\shared folder name...the local device is
already in use. this connection has not been restored

the event log shows error event ID 40961, category: SPNEGO (negotiator),
    source: LSASRV

    description:

The security system could not establish a secured connection with the server
"server name". No authentication protocol was available.

I am not sure what this means. thanks in advance for any help
