    vpn 619 help

I set up a VPN on my win2k3 machine. Its a stand alone with no doman.

When I connect from within my local network it works. When I try to connect
over the internet I get an error "619: A connection to the remote computer
    could not be established..."

I have my router forwarding port 1723 udp/tcp to that machine. I have a
wrt64g router with the firewall disabled and IPSec Passthrough, PPTP
Passthrough, and L2TP Passthrough all enabled. Is there another port that
    needs opening?

Also I ran the PortQry.exe tool on port 1723 and its said listing with no
    errors.

    Thanks for any help.

Normally, the VPN error 619 is not port issue. it is security issue. This link may help,

VPN error codeReceiving VPN error 619 while connecting to a VPN via SBC .... VPN Error 649 - The account does not have permission to dial-in - Case Study ...

    Re: vpn 619 help

I give up. That was the first page I looked at. No go..

I installed a vpn on a second machine that was a fresh install and changed the port map to that machine and now I get an error 800. Why doesnt it just say what is wrong? There are 5-10 reasons for each error message. Also I checked the logs and event viewer and there are no error messages.

Either my router has problems or Microsoft is just makeing things diffficult so they can charge you for training everytime you want to do something simple.
