Installing adminpak.msi on Windows Server 2003 with SP2

    Hi,

I've tried to install the SP2 version of Windows 2003 SP2 adminpak that came
with SP2 (found in \windows\ServicePackFiles\i386). It says it is the correct
version, however during the install it asks for the SP2 cdrom (which I do not
    have).

I downloaded the cdrom and put it in the server, but it contains only an
archive which is not what it wants.

Do I have to slipstream SP2 to get it to install adminpak.msi first, or burn
the extracted SP2 files to a different cdrom? Is there another solution to
    get adminpak installed?

    With kind regards,

    Jos Rossiau

Why do you want it on the server? Why not just install it on your desktop
workstation and admin the server(s) from your own desk?

    Just a thought.

    :)

    Hello Sean,

Because my servers are behind a firewall and I have installed a management
server in the domain behind the firewall to allow people to manage the domain
without having to logon to the dc's.

You are not suggesting that I install virtual server and then run xp withing
    a vm, do you ;-)
