Are you doing this on both nodes in a 2 node cluster at nearly the same time? Microsoft clustering only allows one node at a time to control a disk, what you are seeing is normal and expected behavior. Cheers, Rodney R. That event ID 59 you are seeing is indicative of a problem with your multipathing software configuration. In 2003, we added logic to detect if we were seeing the same LUN down a different path. This all is "supposed" to be hidden from the OS by the MP driver. -- Jeff Hughes, MCSE Support Escalation Engineer Microsoft Enterprise Platforms Support (Server Core/Cluster) "Volkan" <Volkan@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:87F5821F-0AF7-46F7-B271-11B8BCCEE4F8@microsoft.com... > Hi Edwin, > > yes i m getting Event ID 59 when i want to format any driver "The > operation was canceled due to an internal error." > > > > Event Type: Warning > Event Source: PartMgr > Event Category: None > Event ID: 59 > Date: 2/5/2007 > Time: 12:27:15 PM > User: N/A > Computer: NODE1 > Description: > Disk 3 will not be used because it is a redundant path for disk 0. > > For more information, see Help and Support Center at > http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. > Data: > 0000: 00 00 00 00 03 00 58 00 ......X. > 0008: 00 00 00 00 3b 00 04 80 ....;..€ > 0010: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........ > 0018: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........ > 0020: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ........ > > > "Edwin vMierlo" wrote: > >> Volkan >> >> are you getting Event ID 59 in the system event log ? >> with the description "Disk X will not be used because it is a redundant >> path >> for disk Y." >> >> Please let us know >> Rgds, >> Edwin >> >> >> >> "Volkan" <Volkan@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:4C51DD7E-251A-4285-89C6-4CC0197A6C99@microsoft.com... >> > yes only one node online. >> > >> > "Rodney R.
