RIS and Intel NIC 82556

HI

I am having issues with RIS and an Intel Nic 82556.

I have a RIS server with a RISsetup image of Windows XP, Windows XP with
SP1a and Windows XP SP2. I have many Ripprep images of our specific Pc
builds.

I am trying to build a new HP Dc7700 with an Intel 82556 nic on board. When
I choose the XP SP2 image to install my base OS I was prompted that the
required network drivers where not available and hence I put them in the
\i386 directory of my XPSP2 base image. This booted and installed my image
ok.

I then customise the build and load any additional software and then perform
a Ripprep to copy this back up to my RIS server. This works fine and I have
an Ripprep image to copy to the 50 machines I need to build.

I then try to use the new ripprep image and when I load this up I am
prompted to say that "the operating system image you have selected does not
contain the necessary drivers for my network adapter".

I have the RIS hotfix install on my server. I have gone through all the
images XP, XPsp1a AND xp sp2 and made sure that they have the correct drivers
but still no joy. Strange thing is that if I use the XPsp2 and XPsp1a
Rissetup images I can build the machine, If I use the standard XP the NIC
drivers are not included.

I have copied the drivers across to the XP Rissetup image but it still
doesn't work.

I am just about at the end of my teather, Is there anyone out there that has
it working with the Intel 82566, I am sure it is a driver issue but HP and
Intel are not being that helpful.

i have the same pb with nic driver for DC7700 ris installation; have you resolve your problem if yes with version of driver have you use .
