Sorry for reviving an old thread. I have been trying to reach the MS rep by
email and am not getting a response.

I have sent the system info as requested and waiting to hear back.

More updates. On the phone with MS tech support. Had me try a new VSS hotfix
in KB913648. Getting the same problem where it says the cryptographic
service is not running. Tried renaming CATROOT2, unregistering and
registering a bunch of files. Same as before and no luck. I think this is
too old for anyone at MS to be looking at, so I''m going to restart it as a
new thread.
