Hi all,
I have had a major failure over the weekend and as a result I need to change
back the drive signature on my disk. I have trawled through almost the whole
of the internet trying to find the utility Dumpcfg.exe which apparently is
part of the Windows 2000 Resource Kit, but with no joy.
I have a Windows 2003 cluster that lost it's disk enclosure and of course
re-wrote the disk signature when so the Cluster service would not start. I
overcame this with the /FixQuorum in the service which enabled me to get the
service started and then assign a new disk resource which then enabled me to
change all my groups to use when starting but I now have the old disk still
in the cluster administrator and I don't know how to get rid of it becuase
when I try to delete the disk it tells me I can't because it is a core
device? So if I change the disk signature back to the orginal and then move
all my groups back and delete the newly added disk this should resolve me
problem?
Any help and indeed a copy of Dumpcfg.exe would be gratefully recieved.
Jimmy.
