how to make a image server

Hello all I am new to this forums and first like to say hi!!!!

I need some questions answered and maybe a lot of help.

I`m not a dummy to computers but i`m not certiefied or anything ethier. I basicly work (part time as a IT guys at my wifes/dads work) I`ve built there company a server using server 2003. Everything works great!!.. The owner of the company is very picky in certain things and he wants backups for backups and then a backup for that.


So he went out and bought the excat same server we have by dell. So basicly I have two poweredge servers 2950s we will call them A and B.

A- Is there server that everyone is using now. we have a bout 200 clients that use remote to log on from home, office, etc to use a few programs and data bases. I have a DC and AD setup and they work fine from what I can tell. LEts call the domain home.server.com..

B- is a blank server with just the OS and updates installed.

Basiclly what we want to do with server b is make it image server A. Well the only thing we want diffrent is a diffrent IP address on the two nic cards. The owner wants this set up incase server a has a hardware problem we can just have users connect to the back up server weather right away or by restoreing information.. So here is the question..... How can I easily do this. I know how to set everything up but it will take tons of man hours always making sure every file is the same all the time. Is there away to use a program (after market backup program) to just copy everything over? The data bases and other sharded files arent a problem.. Its maininly keeping up with the AD since we fire and hire all the time... Any help?

I think that the "easiest" way is to use a WMS server like Mapserver.

what is that? Is it hard to setup? Is this program freeware?
