    Adprep /forestprep - Run twice?

I completed an in place upgrade of a 2003 Domain Controller (x32) to a Server 2008SP2 Domain Controller (x32).
From the 2008 (x32) media I ran adprep /forestprep and adprep /domain prep /gp without errors.

I am now trying to dcpromo a 2008R2 (x64) Member Server to the same domain previously prepped for 2008SP2 (x32) successfully.
    I receive the message:
    ---------------------------
Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard
    ---------------------------
To install a domain controller into this Active Directory forest, you must
first prepare the forest using "adprep /forestprep". The Adprep utility is
available on the Windows Server 2008 installation media in the
    \sources\adprep folder.

Am I correct in assuming the reason I have to run adprep /forestprep and adprep /domain prep /gp again is because we're adding a 2008R2 Domain Controller (x64) to the domain for the first time? Is that correct?

    2008 adprep updates the schema to v44 and 2008 R2 is v47.

RODC prep is a seperate operation you can do at either v44 or v47.

If you have only 32bit (x86) DC's, most noteably the current schema master,
you'll need to use adprep32 from the 2008 R2 media to update to v47 in
    preperation for 2008 R2 DCs.

    KJ,
Thanks for the info. Is this safe to run this during business hours when users are logged in? Also, should I run ADPrep /domainprep /gpprep form the Infrastructure Master again as well? (using adprep32 from the 2008 R2 media).

Run on the schema master, which may be the same as the IM. Don't think the
extra /gprep will be needed, but it won't hurt anything.

In an otherwise healthy forest/domain your users should not be impacted or
aware of the schema upgrade, but it's really up to your business policies.
