Joining a 2008 Server to 2003 domain

I have a stand alone 2008 server running IIS. This system and the website work perfectly outside the domain using the DNS server that is a part of the domain. My problem occurs when I join the domain, the website stops responding. I'm sure my firewall settings are correct since everything works when the machine is stand alone.

Is there something about joining the domain that would prevent my website from working? Please help, I'm at a loss.
