    Event ID: 7000 SSPORT service

    Hi

Whenever I boot our Win 2003 server, we get an error message about the
SSPORT service and Event ID: 7000.

Any suggestions (preferably in simple language) on how we can get rid of
    this error?

    Ta muchly

    Hello Windara,

Check this article about configuring permissions, doesn't matter if it states
    XP:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314357

    Best regards

    Hi Meinhof

Many thanks for your reply. Am trying to open the article (although it's
rather slow). I have also downloaded the 2003 tools so I can alter the group
policy for the firewall because the problem seems intertwined with that too.

We loaded a program for a samsung fax/copier/scanner and ever since then
we've been having problems with our 2003 firewall (we'd have to turn it off
until we find the problem), and the event id 7000 with the ssport service
    error.

If there's anything else you can suggest, I would be very grateful for your
    assistance.

We did try to find support info in Microsoft but the problem was that the
steps were for XP and we couldn't locate the menu items we needed from the
    2003 locations.

    Cheers

    Windara.
