    disable folder redirection share problem

Why does nothing ever go right?
Attempted to do some folder redirection, kept crashing my server.
So, i'm nixing the redirection and now when certain pc's logon to the network, they receive this msg.
\\server\foldershare\user\desktop is not accessable. You might not have permissions to use the network resource. Contact your admin blah blah blah
The network path was not found.

I disabled and deleted the GPO for folder redirection because it failed to apply the policy to some of the network users, gave problems to others.

I have now created a new GPO to disable folder redirection all together, but i still get the msg above even though the xp system knows that folder redirection is turned off. I even opened the Synchronization program to check if any settings were still applied and everything is empty.

I also created a new GPO Computer Configuration > Admin Templates > System > Logon and enabled the "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon"

Anyone know how to get this msg to stop coming up? nothings working. Please help

To stop redirection, follow this article:

how to stop Folder Redirection so that users begin to use their local user
profile folder location after the policy is stopped.

However, it sounds like to me it wasn't implemented correctly. Basically the
way I do it, and many others as well, is to map a drive specifically to the
user's home folder, not under another share, as you've done. Then in the
user's home folder, the share permissions and the security permissions must
BOTH be set to Full Control for the user's account. Then create a group for
who you want to have redirection work for, add those users to the group,
then create a GPO for the OU that you want it implemented in, and NOT at the
    domain level.
