| nslookup request timeout with Windows DNS when accessing externaldomain
Hello, We have two domain controllers (Windows 2003 R2 std) with DNS installed on both serveurs (192.168.2.22 and 192.168.2.26). If, from any machines on the internal network I try the following command: nslookup www.google.com 192.168.2.22 the command returns DNS request timed out But If I try the same command against the second DNS server (nslookup www.google.com 192.168.2.26), the result is returning a correct answer. The ping www.google.com command on every machine is working fine. I checked the configuration of DNS services and tcp of the network card which is the same on both server. I don't have any firewall installed on the servers. Do you have any ideas on how to solve this problem ? Thansk for your help, Regards, Fred |

| nslookup request timeout with Windows DNS when accessing external domain
I finally found the solution to my problem : the problem was coming from the configuration of our router which had the primary dns server for the wan port set to the IP of the first dns server.
