Disk check error status 64

Hi,

I have 2-node cluster (W2K3 SP2) which is basically a file server (UNC and
Web shares). Periodically (every 4-6 weeks) the cluster "hangs" and one node
has to be rebooted to force failover. The event log shows the following
errors:-
0000c20.00000c40::2009/06/03-14:30:49.297 INFO File Share <Reports Share>:
Retrying FindFirstFile on error 64 for share \\SYN-MAM-8\reports$\*.* !

I have seen the following KB article recommended for status 64 errors but we
dont see any 2021 or 2022 event log entries.

It also looks a lttle complicated to work out exactly what needs to be
changed to what. Are there some "recommended" values to try.

Re: Disk check error status 64

Many thanks John,

Should the public NICs on each cluster node be set to register in DNS and
does that register the cluster VS name(s)

Thanks again,

Geejay
