| Disk check error status 64
Hi, I have 2-node cluster (W2K3 SP2) which is basically a file server (UNC and Web shares). Periodically (every 4-6 weeks) the cluster "hangs" and one node has to be rebooted to force failover. The event log shows the following errors:- 0000c20.00000c40::2009/06/03-14:30:49.297 INFO File Share <Reports Share>: Retrying FindFirstFile on error 64 for share \\SYN-MAM-8\reports$\*.* ! 00000c20.00000c40::2009/06/03-14:31:57.564 INFO File Share <Reports Share>: Retrying FindFirstFile on error 64 for share \\SYN-MAM-8\reports$\*.* ! 00000c20.00000c40::2009/06/03-14:33:05.815 INFO File Share <Reports Share>: Retrying FindFirstFile on error 64 for share \\SYN-MAM-8\reports$\*.* ! 000009c0.00000a4c::2009/06/03-14:33:53.050 INFO [Qfs] GetDiskFreeSpaceEx Q:\MSCS\, status 0 00000c20.00000c40::2009/06/03-14:34:14.004 ERR File Share <Reports Share>: Share has gone offline, Error=64 ! 000009c0.00000c48::2009/06/03-14:34:14.082 INFO [FM] NotifyCallBackRoutine: enqueuing event 000009c0.00000c48::2009/06/03-14:34:14.082 INFO [FM] Calling RmNotifyChanges in monitor 0c20. 000009c0.00000a44::2009/06/03-14:34:14.082 INFO [CP] CppResourceNotify for resource Reports Share 000009c0.00000a48::2009/06/03-14:34:14.082 WARN [FM] FmpHandleResourceTransition: Resource Name = ee65f57e-e159-42a0-aa49-05f833a02425 [Reports Share] old state=2 new state=4 I have seen the following KB article recommended for status 64 errors but we dont see any 2021 or 2022 event log entries. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;317249 It also looks a lttle complicated to work out exactly what needs to be changed to what. Are there some "recommended" values to try. |

Many thanks John, Should the public NICs on each cluster node be set to register in DNS and does that register the cluster VS name(s) Thanks again, Geejay "John Toner [MVP]" <jtoner@DIE.SPAM.DIE.mvps.org> wrote in message news:etrtC%23V5JHA.4896@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > Try this one: > > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/961657 > > Regards, > John > > Visit my blog: http://msmvps.com/blogs/jtoner > > |
