Thread: NT AUTHORITY/LocalService

    NT AUTHORITY/LocalService

I had my DHCP Client and Windows Time service both set to the account
    above.

I know that prior to my fiddling with them, both services were set
with NT AUTHORITY\LocalService in the "This
account" area and everything was working fine

How can I get that field and the proper password back in there so I
    can
get the DHCP Client and Windows Time service running again?

The account doesn't have a password.

Is there anyway I get DHCP Client service set to NT AUTHORITY again? I
tried typing it in but it said it does not exist.

    Re: NT AUTHORITY/LocalService

    For what operating system?

For Windows Vista it should be "Local Service" from object type "User or
    Built-in security principal"
For Windows XP it should be "Local System"
For Server 2003 it should be "NT Authority\NetworkService" from object type
    "User or Built-in security principal"

Location for all should be local machine.
