How to install ntbackup.msi on windows server 2008

Hi,
I want to get ntbackup on windows server 2008 I know WSB is there in windows
server 2008 but i want to get NTBACKUP on windows server 2008.How can i get
pls advice.

I don't believe you can do this.

I have ntbackup.msi if i install it can i get ntbackup?pls advice

No, I don't believe it's supported. If you don't want WSB you should look at
third party backup software (file-based).

If you want to restore backups made in earlier OS - Restore Utility:

If you want to install NTBackup:

(should work the same for Server 2008)

Hello venu,

Not supported any longer.

There is only the ntbackup restore option possible with:
http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/d...displaylang=en

Any other change may work, but i think then you will also stay unsupported
form MS, when you get trouble with the normal windows 2008 installation.
