| Domain Controller still appearing in DNS entry
Hi, We recently demoted our old DC (Windows 2K server) to act as a standard file server and switched to a 2003 server to be our active DC and all was well. Now, the 2K machine is dead and a few of our machines are running extremely slow. All shortcuts, printers, and network drives pointed at the old server are gone as well as DNS entries. Also, when doing an ipconfig /displaydns the old DC shows as an entry with Name Does not exist. Can anyone help me with a resolution to this problem? |

Hello Silpheed, Did you remove it also under the zones DNS server list in the DNS management console? IS it removed from AD sites and services?
