| Unable to Create a Server 2008 Cluster
I am trying to setup a Server 2008 Cluster. I have two Servers running 2008 64 bit Ent Ed. I have ran the validation test without error. When I attempt to create the cluster it fails to create the cluster. Here is what happens in the report... "Beginning to configure the cluster TESTCLUST01 Initialising Cluster TESTCLUST01 Validating the state state on node server01.test.lab Unable to successfully cleanup To troublleshoot cluster creation problems, run the validate a configuration wozard on the servers you want to cluster. An error occurred while creating the cluster. An error occurred creating the cluster TESTCLUST01. the network location cannot be reached. for more information about network troubleshooting see windows help." I have confirmed that the network config is correct, and that DNS is functioning. The user account am am using has rights to create computer objects in the domain, and is a local admin on the nodes. I have even tried to create a single node cluster, but am having the same problems. I have turned off the firewall and disbaled the symantec endpoint analysis software. Can anyone suggest any causes. Thanks smurfphy |

Ensure TCP/IP configuration is right on both the nodes and check if you have NetBIOS Over TCP/IP enabled. Also, ensure there is no APIPA Address configured and registered in DNS.
