Copying directory and file structure, while retaining permissions

I am implementing a new corporate file server, and want to migrate all
user home directories and corporate file shares from their current
locations on the old file server to the new server, but I want to retain
their permissions so I don't have to remask the permissions on each
directory once I copy everything across.

Are there any good scripts for doing this, or any freeware apps that can
achieve what I'm attempting?

Hello Rob,

Robocopy from the resource kit 2003 will do all copy and security related
tasks.

To copy all shares export and import the related registry key:
