server authenticating you reported an error (0XC00000BB)

I have recently done some Windows Update which was proposed by Microsoft on Windows XP and after that I am not able to connect my computer on the network. If I am trying to logging in then I am getting an error message which says "server authenticating you reported an error (0XC00000BB)". I have to disconnect the network cable from my desktop in order to login to the network and servers? What can I do to solve this issue?

Even I am having the similar kind of issue with 2 of the client computers that we are using. Is there anyone who can help us both out. Thanks for any information in advance.

We will be able to help you if you guys tell us what was that last update that you installed? Have you tried uninstalling those same last update and checked if that can fix the issue until more information can be generated on the same problem? I have a guess that it could be a Kerberos error which usually updates the kerberos.dll file and this then leads to the error message.

I was having the same problem and it turned out to be a Trojan problem which was loading with the multimedia driver and the registry for same was: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32] "midi9"="C:\\WINDOWS\\stm.old 0yAAAAAAAA". The name of the virus file is Stm.old and 0yAAAAAAAA is some kind of a parameter. So I just disconnected the network cable to login and then logged in localy and fixed this virus file. It seems to me that this virus was causing the kerberos dll file to be turned off.

Thank you for the solution. The system on which I am trying to solve this issue was also having trojan that was loading under the same registry key but its location and filename was different. Hopefully, removing this trojan and the registry key, the problem would be solved for me.
