Configuring Linksys Router with WPA2 and AES

I am on Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and am using a Linksys WRT54GX2 with a desktop and also a laptop. Now my question is that, I want to increase the network security from WPA to A2 AES. I am using the home network and have 2 computers with me. The first one if the desktop that is wired to the router and the firewall protection is provided from the internet and the second one which is the laptop is connected wirelessly. So I was wondering if the router security can be configured to WPA2 if the laptop's Wlan card supports it where else the desktop's doesnt? Can anyone please help me out.

I think that in accordance with standard IEEE 802.11i protocol using WPA2 AES algorithm is used for wireless security Wi-Fi-network. Users cannot connect to a wireless access point using WPA2 protocol with an algorithm TKIP. In the Wireless Network Properties tab, in the field of the Authentication drop-down list, select WPA2 or WPA2-PSK.
