Mapped network drive asks "Open With"?

On a domain network I have set up 2 different Windows XP workstations and these both bring up the file association request as Open with, if tried to map a network drive to a resource that is available to most of the other workstations on the network. I have the option to select "Browse" in the "Open With" windo and can also choose the Windows Explorer to access the resource but the option to "Always use the selected program..." is not available? Can anyone tell me how to get that option?

Even I was facing this same problem but have fixed it now by remove the Autorun.inf and Re-mapping the Drive, follow the below method:

    1. First of all you need to right click the network drive and choose Explore
    2. After that, check in the root folder of the network drive, locate and either move the file autorun.inf to a sub-folder or delete the file altogether.
    3. Incase you are not able to see autorun.inf then it may be hidden. Click Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders > Click OK > follow step 2 above again.
    4. After that close Explorer and then right click on the network drive icon and click Disconnect
    5. Now you have to right click on My Computer and click Map Network Drive
    6. Lastly you have to select the correct drive letter, enter the path and click OK.

Thank you.. It totally worked for me.
I was just going to re-image the whole machine but that worked.
    Saved me like 2 hours...
    Thanks again
