    Group policy corrupt

I have one and only account on my laptop which an Administrator account and that is me. But still whenever I go to access TCP/IP setting or even peripherals management, I am getting an error message saying “You don't have permission.”

As a troubleshooting so far, I have tried creating new Administrator account, scanned the system with Antivirus, tested RAM and Hard Drive but still getting the problem. I even tried resetting GPO.

Do you guys have any idea what could be the problem? I don’t know what else I can try to fix it.

I don’t know what could be the exact problem but you should tryout cleaning your computer completely. Just go through these:

    • Open Internet Explorer and clean out History, Internet Files and Cookies.
    • Also disable all Third-Party browser extensions.
    • Now download SuperAntispyware from here for free and scan the complete system for spyware.
    • Finally download RootkitRevealer v1.71 from here and run the scan.

Once done with all, restart the computer and see if you still face the same problem. Hopefully it should not occur anymore.

    Re: Group policy corrupt

Thanks a lot for your help buddy but I don’t that the problem is because of any malware. I have already ran various scans but none of them have reported any such thing. Infact I guess my group policy is corrupt. I also tried running sfc /scannow command and replaced secedit.sdb filebutstill no joy.

    Any other help please.
